Welcome to Begbroke Bowls Club
We are a small friendly club located in Begbroke, near Kidlington, Oxford, who will take every opportunity to make all who visit us very welcome. We have a good sized clubhouse with all the facilities required to have a comfortable and enjoyable game of Bowls.
Facilities include good sized changing rooms, toilets and a bar, ( limited opening times ).
The Club was established in 1953 and currently has a small membership of 28.
The Club is a mixed club of both Ladies and Gentleman, who will make your visit both welcoming and enjoyable. We currently only play friendly games and have no league commitments. We will welcome any club who wishes to have a friendly game against us, including any club who are touring the area.
Our green is kept in excellent condition on a planned maintenance system and can accommodate up to five rinks. There is a viewing area along with plenty of benches around the green.
The Club has its own parking facilities which are normally adequate for our members and visitors cars.
Annual Membership fees is £40.
During the bowls season we meet every Friday evening at 6.00pm for a friendly series of roll up games, followed by a drink in the Social Club Bar. New members are always welcome, so why not come along and try the game, where tuition is always available.
We have a Clubhouse, which was erected in April 2015, with ample room for both teams. Some pictures are on the Gallery page.
The date for the AGM will be announced later and will be held in the Social Club bar.
We form part of the Begbroke Village Hall , which includes a childs play area, four acres of fields, a community Orchard, and of course the hall and amenities. The hall is rented out for various regular activities and can also be hired privately.
